The problem
Reaching a chosen account was only the first step. The system also needed to preserve source context, recognize what happened next and give the right person a sensible path from interest to conversation.

The problem
Reaching a chosen account was only the first step. The system also needed to preserve source context, recognize what happened next and give the right person a sensible path from interest to conversation.
My contribution
I implemented the core acquisition and CRM connection, including audience matching, source capture, lifecycle tracking, nurture and scheduling. I kept the handover boundary visible because parts of the wider launch still depended on work outside the completed integration.
I have kept the organisation, product and people private. I also left out exact figures and internal details that could identify the work. The status above tells you how far the implementation actually went.
How I worked through it
If you are working on a similar system, these are the decisions I would examine before choosing tools or adding more automation.
I started with the information the CRM needed to retain, then worked back through the landing and acquisition journey. That reduced the chance of collecting campaign data that nobody could use later.
Attribution loses value when it disappears after the first form or status change. I treated source and campaign context as part of the record rather than a temporary reporting field.
Not every matched visitor is ready for a meeting. The workflow needed room for nurture as well as a direct scheduling route.
Expert insights from the work
These are the lessons I took from the work. I would use them as questions for your own implementation, not as a universal recipe.
Your account list becomes useful when acquisition, identity, CRM context and follow-up connect. Without that chain, you have another audience segment rather than an account-based system.
Marketing and CRM teams can use the same status words differently. Define what each transition means before you let software move records on the team's behalf.
What still needs validation
Once the remaining launch dependencies are in place, I would test the journey as one lifecycle. Does the source context survive? Does the nurture match real intent? Does scheduling leave the receiving team with enough information to continue the conversation?
